Festivities and Sustainable Development in Baixo Alentejo (Portugal)

In recent decades we have seen the emergence of festive inventions as a factor sustainable development in rural contexts, associated with dissemination and promotion cultural products practices, expressing different motivations. Portugal Spain, relationship between festivals, music, was object study, based on musical celebrations that allow creation formal networks participatory models agents, musicians, community members. With this text I intend to question phenomenon invention Baixo Alentejo (Portugal) strategy development, focusing Islamic Festival Mértola “Noche Flamenca” Barrancos, taking into account motivations impact organized parties promoted by municipalities construction possible futures.
